Immigrants-Greek field workers march in Nea Manolada.

28 April 2013 Demonstration in Nea Manolada (South-Western Greece). Over 2000 immigrant workers in the strawberry fields, marched to the police station, demanding legalization for all, and better conditions. The demo took place after the incident last week, when tens of immigrants workers in the strawberry fields of Vagelatos AE, were shot because they demanded their wages. The demo was an initiative of KEERFA (Movement United against Racism and the Fascist Threat) and the Union of Immigrant Workers (UIW) in collaboration with local unions as the teachers union and the workers centre and ANTARSYA, the front of the anticapitalist left. During the demo hundreds of workers joined UIW and the new National Union of the Land Workers.
